Agshin Mammadov

Mr. holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree with distinction from Baku State University and completed postgraduate studies at the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). He holds a Ph.D. in Philology.

Throughout his career, Agshin has held various key roles, including Senior Specialist at the Analytical Information Department of the Presidium of ANAS (2001-2007), Deputy Head of the Scientific Information Department (2007-2013), and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “Elm” newspaper and the international scientific journal “Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis” (2007-2013), Senior Researcher at the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics, and Senior Researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2013-2019). From 2019 to 2024, he served as a Senior Advisor at the Social Research Center.

He currently serves as Head of the Domestic Policy Analysis Department and Executive Editor of the “Social Research” international scientific-analytical journal.

His research encompasses a range of areas, including domestic policy, education, science, security, sociolinguistics, ethnic and religious minorities, and ideological issues. Mr. Agshin is the author of numerous analytical reports and scientific and publicist articles, and serves as an editor for various academic publications.
