An online conference on Family institution in the Turkish Republic in the process of socio-cultural transformations was held





On May 15, 2022, the International Turkish Academy and Uskudar University of Turkey organized an online conference on "The Institute of the Family in the Turkish Republics in the Process of Socio-Cultural Transformation" dedicated to the International Family Day. The conference featured presentations by researchers from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the International Turkic Academy.



The moderator of the conference was Prof.Dr. Ebulfez Suleymanli.



In the introductory part of the conference: Founding Rector of Uskudar University Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, Üsküdar University, Prof.Dr. Ibrahim Ozdemir, Vice President of the International Turkish Academy Fuzuli Majidli spoke.



Professor Tahira Allahyarova, a member of the Board of the Social Research Center, spoke by representing Azerbaijan regarding the topic.



Further in the conference, Huri Kaşıkçı, Head of the Women's Status Department of the Ministry of Family and Social Services of Turkey, a member of a number of international organizations, Prof.Dr. Nigina Rahimova, Fellow of the Institute of Philosophy, Law and Political Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan Prof.Dr. Rita Salmorbekova, Officer of the Department of Sociology, Sinop University Assoc. Dr. Aysegul Demir, Member of the Board of the Women's, Family and Demographic Policy Organization of the President of Kazakhstan, Head of the "Fathers' Union" of Kazakhstan, Maksutbek Aitmaganbet made interesting presentations.



Considering the strategic importance of the family institution and family values ​​in Turkic-speaking countries, as well as the global challenges and transformation processes it faces, speakers suggested the importance of implementing joint research projects and further strengthening cooperation.



It was also recommended to discuss the establishment of a working group between the institutions.
