On February 17, 2025, an online meeting was held with the staff of the Social Research Center at the initiative of Elsevier Digital Commons, a globally recognized leader in academic research, scientific analytics, and information.
The meeting brought together Yasemin Solay, Elsevier Digital Commons Regional Partnership Manager, and Hossam Ashour, Research Consultant at Elsevier, along with Professor Tahira Allahyarova, a member of the international editorial board of the Social Research journal (Sosial Tədqiqatlar), and Aytan Babayeva, a specialist in communications and international development at the Center.
During the meeting, Ms. Solay delivered a comprehensive presentation on the benefits of integrating the Social Research journal into the Digital Commons platform. The discussion covered strategies to enhance the journal’s visibility, expand its readership among international researchers and authors in the field of social sciences, increase its citation index and competitiveness. Additionally, Elsevier introduced innovative tools designed to improve editorial efficiency, including the dashboard and other analytical solutions. The participants also explored how Elsevier Digital Commons could support the journal in strengthening its presence in open-access scientific databases and achieving key academic objectives.
Prof. Tahira Allahyarova, Vice-Chair of the SRC Board, provided Elsevier Digital Commons representatives with an overview of the journal’s history, academic focus, and thematic scope. She expressed gratitude for their interest and for the recommendations aimed at enhancing the journal’s academic standing.
The meeting also addressed prospects for future collaboration, with participants exchanging insights on relevant topics. In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term partnership.
