The Social Research Center's (SRC) activity report for 2024 encompasses the work conducted in accordance with the Center's Charter, the execution of strategic plans, and scientific-analytical research on current issues.
During 2024, the SRC's Executive Board and departments successfully implemented a number of key projects.
The activity report is organized into five main areas across three key sections:
1. Scientific research activities;
2. Surveys and studies;
3. Local and international events;
4. Media and communication activity statistics;
5. SRC staff activities at COP29.
The sections presenting analytical products:
1. Publications: science books, articles, and journals.
2. Analytical documents: reports, certificates, analyses, and policy documents.
3. Media appearances: interviews, expert comments, participation in local and international events.
Results of the Center's Activities for 2024
As a follow-up to the aforementioned points, SRC presents the outcomes of its activities for 2024. Throughout the year, the Center implemented a wide range of scientific and analytical projects, organized significant events at both the local and international levels, and expanded its international partnerships. The key results for the year are outlined below:
Scientific and Publicistic Publications
In 2024, the SRC published the following scientific works:
• Three books:
1. The Great Return: The Material and Cultural Heritage of Western Azerbaijan (Volume III);
2. Fundamental Principles of Local Governance and Historical Stages of Development;
3. The Life of a Mujahidin: Mohammad Sadiq Aran;
• A scientific-analytical journal: Social Research;
• 147 scientific and publicistic articles, including 12 published abroad and two materials from international conferences.
Analytical and Research Documents
In 2024, the SRC prepared the following analytical and research documents:
• 33 analytical reports and studies;
• 17 review papers;
• 167 certificates, researches, analyses, and proposals;
• 17 survey-based analytical documents and 11 monitoring results.
Media and Conference Activities
In 2024, SRC staff actively represented the Center in both local and international media. They provided over 3,000 expert opinions, interviews, and statements, and prepared press releases on social, economic, and political issues both domestically and abroad. Additionally, staff produced author shows for TV and participated as speakers at local and international conferences.
Scientific and Organizational Events
In 2024, the Center organized or co-organized 27 local and international events, including two events at the international level.
Public Opinion Research
In 2024, the Public Opinion Research Department conducted 23 sociological surveys, 11 focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and two monitoring studies. The surveys were carried out using various methods, including CATI (13), CAPI (8), and CAWI (2). A total of 26,563 respondents participated in the surveys.
International Cooperation
The SRC convened 10 meetings with foreign research and think tanks, culminating in the signing of memoranda of cooperation.
Global Bridges Project
As part of the new Global Bridges project, the SRC continued its series of interviews with renowned international experts, scholars, and public-political figures on current global issues. This initiative helped strengthen ties between various scientific and political communities.
Participation in COP29
The Center's staff played an active role in COP29, with over 40 posts published, contributing to the Center's enhanced international profile and supporting government policies.The Center's activities mirror the ongoing development of the SRC in the fields of science, analytics, and international cooperation, while concurrently contributing to the enhancement of its role in social, scientific, and cultural domains.
